Short Legs, Short Tails

SHORT LEGS

The wag strap may need to be anchored with the 2 belt loops on either side of the undertail pad (underneath the sleeve, up high).   This places the wag strap higher but still provides downward pressure so that the tail sleeve doesn't all off when dog raises their tail up.  The the other ends of the wag strap have options for where they connect... (see step 8 or 9 on written instructions) 1. Over the hips keeps the strap higher, and that's good as long as there isnt any chaffing of the inner thigh.   If they do chafe there you should  anchor the ends of the wag strap on  the belt loop on underside of the harness (see 9 step on the written instructions for the 2 pathway options for the wag strap).

SHORT TAILS (4-7")

Your pup will need a higher amount of "down" pressure under the tail that in other cases. The wag strap will need to be anchored with the 2 belt loops on either side of the undertail pad (underneath the sleeve, up high).   When adjusted correctly (somewhat tight) this will provide downward pressure so that the tail sleeve doesn't fall off. The the other ends of the wag strap need to be anchored with the the belt loop on underside of the harness (see 9 step on the written instructions).  I wouldnt advice using the over-hip  path in your case as it would likely chafe the inner thigh. (see 8 or 9 step on the written instructions for pathways and use the yellow one ).   Don't use the belt loops midway down the sleeve... only the ones next to the undertail pad.
