Using Your own harness With our Tail-Sleeve
Which ones will work with it? To check to see if it is stable laterally try to tug it left and right... does it move? It won't work well if it moves off center left or right.
How to connect straps to it? Using zip ties and looking at our pictures closely to choose the angles and locations to attach the straps to will usually work. Ask us for buckles to zip tie onto the harness. For under chest belt loop you can pull strap under the harness and let the whole lower paned or strap be how you anchor the hip to chest and wag straps. Or, you can put a long zip tie around the lower panel and use the zip tie as a belt loop.
In Summary:
Some off-brand harnesses will work well with the TailSaver Sleeve...styles that are stable "laterally". Zip ties can be used to fasten the buckles as needed (ask us for buckles). Use a similar distance from center for attaching straps. We use particular angle to assure a secure fit.
While we only guarantee the tailsleeve will stay on when used with our harness the tips here will help in case you need to use a different harness.
